1. Acceptance
By using pdfly.pro (“PDFly”, “the site”) you agree to these Terms of Service and to our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the site.
2. The service
PDFly provides free online tools to merge, split, compress, convert, sign, protect and otherwise process PDF files and images. The tools run inside your web browser: your files are processed on your own device and are not uploaded to our servers.
The service is free and financed by advertising. No account is required.
3. Your responsibilities
- You may only process files that you own or have the right to use.
- You must not use PDFly for any illegal purpose, including forging, falsifying or altering official documents, signatures or identity papers, infringing copyright, or removing protections from documents you are not authorised to open.
- You are responsible for checking the result of every operation before relying on it, sending it or deleting your original file.
- You must not attempt to disrupt the site, overload it with automated requests, copy it for resale, or interfere with its advertising.
4. Signatures and passwords
The Sign PDF tool adds a visual image of a signature. It is not a certified or qualified electronic signature, and its legal value depends on your country and on the recipient. The Protect PDF tool encrypts files with a password that only you know: we cannot recover a forgotten password or an encrypted file.
5. Accuracy of results
Conversions (PDF to Word, OCR, compression, etc.) are automatic and may not be perfect. Layout may change, text recognition may contain errors and strong compression reduces image quality. Always keep a copy of your original files.
6. No warranty
PDFly is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranty of any kind, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose, availability or absence of errors. Tools may be changed, suspended or removed at any time.
7. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, PDFly and its operators shall not be liable for any direct or indirect loss or damage arising from the use of, or inability to use, the site, including loss of data, loss of profit, rejected applications or damaged files.
8. Intellectual property
The site design, texts, articles and logo belong to PDFly. You keep all rights to the files you process. PDFly uses open-source software, including pdf-lib, PDF.js, jsPDF, html2canvas and Tesseract.js, under their respective licences.
9. Third-party services and links
The site displays advertising from Google AdSense and may link to external websites. We are not responsible for the content or practices of third-party sites and services.
10. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. The date at the top of this page shows the current version; continued use of the site after a change means you accept the new terms.
